Centro Continually Achieves Recognition for Positive Culture and Work Environment;

Focus on Employee Health, Happiness and Career Development Act as Catalyst for Profitable Growth

CHICAGO, IL – April 8, 2014 – Centro (centro.net), a provider of digital media software and services, today announced it has been rated as the No. 1 Best Place to Work according to Crain’s Chicago Business for the fourth consecutive year (http://bit.ly/1ejGWl7). Centro secured its placement because of positive feedback and input from employees on its work environment. One of the fastest growing advertising technology firms in Chicago and in the U.S., Centro maintains a corporate culture that fosters happiness and loyalty with employees and customers.

Centro has leveraged a positive corporate culture as a catalyst for growth, as illustrated by its banner year in 2013 where it reached nearly a quarter of a billion dollars in revenue. Its acquisition of real-time bidding (RTB) software company SiteScout last year added a presence in Toronto, Canada. The company now has 450 employees in 33 locations in North America. This year, 45 of them are eligible for a three-week paid sabbatical as a reward for their fifth or ninth year with Centro. Centro is experiencing rapid growth and will add more than 150 new team members across the company, including significant opportunities in software development, sales and account management (centro.net/careers).

“Creating happiness in employees is an incredibly important part of running our business. It’s a key reason why we’ve grown profitably and why we’ve been recognized by as one of the Best Place to Work in one of the largest business centers in the U.S.,” said Shawn Riegsecker, founder and CEO of Centro. “I believe that getting company culture right from the beginning is a major factor of our success.”

Crain’s Chicago Business conducts a yearly company survey with Buck Consultants, a human resources consulting firm, to determine the Best Places to Work. With 178 companies applying, the evaluation examined career development, benefits, hiring practices, relationships with management and co-workers, and other workplace factors. This award underscores Centro’s commitment to its employees’ well-being in and out of the office. Employees receive a robust benefits package that includes a Centro-funded Health Savings Account, 12 weeks paid maternity leave, certified coaching for working parents, employee stock options, tuition reimbursement, free wellness screenings and more.
