The Giving Tree

A philanthropic organization that encourages corporate social responsibility among employees by promoting volunteerism with organizations across local communities.

Giving Back

At Basis Technologies, we believe that we can make the world a better place. The betterment of our community starts with the individual.

Corporate Social Responsibility

The future of our lives, community, and planet is in our hands, and we have the ability to change it for the better. Our goal is to partner with a diverse group of charities to drive positive change where we live and work.

Through a company-wide match program, The Giving Tree matches the individual contributions of employees to the charity of their choice. Basis Technologies also offers every employee a Change the World Day, which allows them to take a day off to volunteer and give back because the betterment of our community starts with the individual.

Habitat for Humanity

Basis Technologies has been lucky to partner and build homes with Habitat for Humanity for over a decade. Many employees use their Change the World Day to assist with this effort, by joining together, lifting a hammer (or two), and having a lot of fun along the way. We’ve also teamed up with other technology companies to work on a project lovingly coined as “The House that Tech Built”.

Cross-Country Efforts

Basis Technologies’ offices across the U.S. and Canada have organized dozens of charitable efforts through The Giving Tree. Whether it’s joining tutoring programs, packing lunches for the homeless, donating and wrapping holiday gifts, or sending 20,000 backpacks to schools and shelters—employees in each and every office across countries come together to give back.

Operation Backpack

For any student to be successful in the classroom they need the right tools to succeed and that starts with backpacks and school supplies. The Giving Tree teamed up with Volunteers of America for their annual Operation Backpack® drive to collect and provide brand new backpacks and grade-specific school supplies to children living in homeless and domestic violence shelters throughout the Chicagoland area.
