CHICAGO, IL - Oct. 24, 2012 — Centro (centro.net), a provider of managed services and cloud applications for advertising agencies, today announced it surpassed 5,000 successful advertising campaigns managed for 2012, marking 46 percent growth over last year. With two-plus months remaining in the calendar year, the company is reporting a 22 percent increase in agency partners’ serviced year-over-year. Centro is on target to exceed $200 million in digital revenue managed for the year.
With its automated workflow platform, Centro manages time-consuming and unprofitable digital media functions including contract management, ad trafficking and campaign operations, billing reconciliation and vendor payment processing so agencies can focus on campaign strategy and client services.
“While these milestones are significant for Centro, they couldn’t have been reached without progressive thinking agency partners who have embraced the media logistics movement,” said Centro founder and CEO Shawn Riegsecker. “As agencies are increasingly being asked to do more for less, we’re here as their partner, ensuring creativity and strategy don’t take a backseat when executing impactful campaigns.”
The company has also experienced triple-digit growth in the Centro Brand Exchange, a private, invitation-only exchange connecting the highest quality brands with premium content publishers.
A key driver of success is Centro’s strong employee base, which also has experienced significant growth. The Company added more than 80 employees this year and is on track to bring its total to above 300 by the end of 2012. Most recently it appointed Kelly Wenzel as chief marketing officer and Scott Neslund as executive vice president of media services.
“We’re excited to welcome Kelly and Scott to our team, which is key to our ability to deliver continued successes and increased efficiencies for our agency partners,” said Riegsecker. “Their unmatched expertise will help bolster our efforts in driving media logistics as a platform for value creation in the advertising industry.”
Kelly Wenzel joins Centro after serving as senior vice president of marketing at Undertone, where she was responsible for the company’s brand strategy, including numerous successful product launches and awareness programs. Wenzel also brings 17 years of experience within the enterprise software space to Centro, where she leads all marketing activities including market strategy, branding and communications, and multichannel programs.
Also joining the Centro team as executive vice president of media services is Scott Neslund, who will oversee Centro’s client services units including account management, media operations, strategic insights and custom creative services. Neslund brings more than 20 years of experience leading U.S. media and digital agencies with global experience in Europe, Asia and Canada. He was responsible for the successful Canadian agency launch of Starcom MediaVest Group and later served as CEO of North America for MindShare, CEO of Red Bricks Media and President of Moxie Interactive, a subsidiary of the Publicis Group.
