This manual contains valuable information about our License Manager, including utilities that monitor the status of the BASIS License Manager. ================================================================= 2. OPERATING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ================================================================= ===NOVELL CLIENT KIT REQUIREMENTS=== Novell's Client Kit software is required for Visual PRO/5 for Novell NetWare. The versions tested on this release of Visual PRO/5 are v3.31 for Windows 98 and v4.81 for Windows NT and 2000. These Client Kits are available for downloaded at http://www.novell.com Microsoft's Novell Client Kit is not currently supported. ===LAPTOP REQUIREMENTS=== We strongly suggest you remove your PCMCIA network interface card and remove your laptop from its docking station during Visual PRO/5 license registration. We suggest that you node lock your Visual PRO/5 License to your hard drive to prevent possible problems with your license file being locked to a specific network card. ===WINDOWS NT REQUIREMENTS=== On Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0, the Setup program will exit if the appropriate Service Pack has not been installed on the target machine. These Service Packs are available from the Microsoft FTP site: ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/ Users outside the United States can refer to a list of alternative code pages in the /bussys/winnt/winnt-public/fixes directory. Users within the United States can follow the directions below. Windows NT 3.51 Service Pack 5 --- ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/fixes/usa/nt351/ ussp5 Select the i386 directory and the SP5_351I.EXE file, which is compressed to approximately 13 MB.
