How to calculate the optimal value of the config.bbx file's STBLEN parameter
An Error=16, TCB(10)=17 is often fixed by increasing the STBLEN value.
The config.bbx file's STBLEN entry allows you to configure how much memory PRO/5 sets aside for storing the config.bbx file itself in memory, as well as the pathing information for any open files. Therefore, a good rule of thumb is:
The size of the config.bbx file in bytes
about 10-15 bytes for each open file
So, let's say that your config.bbx file is 5000 bytes and your program opens up 100 files simultaneously. The STBLEN then should be 5000+(15*100), or 6500.
