The BASIS Advantage E-Zine
1st Quarter 2001 E-Zine (Volume 5, Number 1)

While we've been producing an electronic version of the BASIS Advantage magazine for the past four years, this issue marks our first electronic-only version. Finished GUI applications built with BASIS tools are the focus of this issue. Featured are two companies that have GUI products on the market right now. Interestingly, both are in the construction industry, but each serves very different market segments: Emque has the commercial and industrial construction segment and Mark Systems has the homebuilder segment. In the Road Scholar Journals, you'll find a report on the status of yet another company's GUI product, this one being migrated from character for the Dutch manufacturing industry. Also in this issue is the last of a two-part series on BBj installation and configuration and a discussion of Java Database Connectivity.

Welcome to the Electronic Age
