1999 was about Y2K readiness; 2000 is about growth.

ur goal is to help you grow your business in 2000 in every way we possibly can. If your business grows, so does ours. How can we help? We've defined six objectives for this year that focus our efforts to help you.

1. Encourage a Culture of Innovation
We have provided the best programming environment we can, and we're working every day to make it better. But we've committed not only to improvement but to invention of new products, services, partnerships and processes for business growth.

2. Provide Quality Products
With Revision 3.0, we effectively removed the limit on file sizes and offered our customers a whole new class of business prospects. Visual PRO/5® supports Windows 2000 developers, too. BBj will greatly expand the possibilities of business software development and will help the developer grow his or her business in entirely new ways.

3. Develop Strategic Partners
Our sales force will expand in 2000, and it will have one goal: to help our customers succeed as business people. BASIS has designated Investment Account Managers, whose job is to focus on critical market segments and find ways to generate new business for our developers. We're forging strategic alliances with major companies such as IBM, SCO, Sun, Hewlett Packard, Compaq and others to give BBj and the applications you'll be creating with it a stronghold in the new world of e-business.

4. Invigorate Our Channels
Ultimately, it is the use to which developers put the language and the strength and aggressiveness of our resellers that determine how much our businesses will grow. We're providing more development and sales support, including discounted pricing to developers to create new applications and improve existing ones, and reseller tools and training to help you find and close more business.

5. Proactively Help Market Our Customers Applications
BASIS is planning new marketing efforts designed to help you build your business. We will be more visible in trade shows with you and in business and computer media in our developers' markets.

6. Promote BBj Development
And of course, we'll be doing all of this while working to ensure that BBj is everything you need it to be.
